Waxing

To remove larger areas of hair, wax can be poured on to the area and then strips of paper or cloth can be smoothed onto it.  By ripping the paper or cloth off, the wax is removed as well as the hairs that it has stuck to.  Hot wax or warm wax can be used to perform this.  The removed hairs also have their hair bulb is attached that have been removed from the follicles leaving a very smooth skin and several weeks before any hair growth returns.

However, removing so many hairs in one go, the process is quite sore and can be extremely painful depending on area being waxed, and there is often quite a red reaction for some time afterwards - often lasting several hours.

Waxing is particularly suitable for larger areas such as legs, arms, chest or back and can be used for eyebrows and upper lips.
